Gluing up a Flower.

  1. After all of the pieces of a flower were cut out, they were assembled face down on a piece of clear packing tape which was mounted sticky side up on a piece of glass. By turning the glass over, the front of the flower was visible. When all the pieces were in place, they were glued together. The packing tape was carefully removed, leaving the complete flower to be inlayed as one piece.
  2. The flower as it appears after it was inlayed into the ebony fingerboard.
