 Osborne Chief Banjo

The Chief Banjo is Sonny Osborne's dream of build a banjo with the exact materials and qualities as his 1934 Granada. It is sold directly to players and is constructed of parts made by craftsmen who specialize in their individual areas.

Frank Neat makes the neck out northern Canadian curly maple and hand fits each part of the banjo. The finish is removed from the back of the neck for greater ease of playing.

Jimmy Cox makes the hard maple rim.

The Chief no longer uses the Huber ring and has shifted to the Blaylock ring, which has the exact size and gold-over-copper flashing plating process that Gibson.
