Fred Bacon
 
Starting in 1906 Bacon starting producing banjos. Some of them were also made by Fairbanks-Vega as well as Wm Lange (Orpheum). In 1922. David L. Day left Vega and joined Bacon. Shortly In 1923, the Silver Bell was introduced, followed by by the Senorita in 1931. After a destructive hurricane in 1938, the Bacon Company contracted with Gretsch to produce banjos for them. Gretsch soon purchased the Bacon Banjo Company and in 1966 stopped production of Bacon and B&D banjos.
