Vega Resonator Tenor Banjo
Item B-22
This is a 1921 Style N Vega Resonator tenor banjo. It
is in very good playable condition.
Like most vegas it has a god pot construction and tone ring,
well-constructed rim and interesting pie-shape resonator. The original geared grover tuners
work quite well. The 19-fret fingerboard and frets are in excellent condition. The neck is very straight. The flange
consists of individual nickle-plated brass pieces.
The 11" head is an original skin in excellent condition.
A new reissue nickel-plated vega-style armrest has been added. This banjo
has a great old-time sound and excellent set-up.
A break in the heel was repaired 5 years ago in an excellent manner and is hardly noticeable.
This banjo will be supplied with a vintage hardshell case.
The sound sample is Cumberland Gap played in Chicago Tuning DGBE.
